| POISONED BY A NEIGHBOR, NASH SURVIVED AND IS LOOKING FOR A HOME! Nash is a Shepard mix around 7 month old. He came into rescue after his family moved into a new neighborhood and their new neighbors didn't like dogs. So the neighbors slipped a pan of anti-freeze under the fence, which tastes wonderful to dogs but is completely lethal! Luckily the family caught him in time and took him into the emergency vet. Over $1500 later, Nash would live and he is perfectly fine, but the family was afraid to take him home for fear of what the neighbors would do to him next, so they called us to take him. Nash lived in a family with 6 kids and has been great with the dogs in our rescue, big and small! He is UTD on all of his shots, neutered, crate & house trained. Once he has a basic obedience class, he is going to be a wonderful dog for a family! All he wants is attention and to be loved! Please consider giving this sweetheart a wonderful home!! |

| THIS SWEETIE WAS ABANDONED & LEFT LOCKED IN A HORSE TRAILER TO DIE! Hudson is a 1 year old Great Dane/Lab mix that was abandoned when his family was evicted. They actually left this poor baby locked up in a horse trailer with no food or water for over a week before the neighbors finally called the Great Dane Rescue to come get him. However, since he is not a purebred Great Dane they wouldn't take him but the rep who went to look at him just couldn't leave him there, so she called and asked if we could take him. Hudson has had a very hard life for a one year old, he was chained to a tree and his "owners" would sit around and throw beer bottles at him. Despite the horrible treatment he had, Hudson is a total love bug! I find it amazing how forgiving dogs can be! Hudson is UTD on all shots, including rabies and has been neutered. Hudson is house & crate trained, loves to ride in the car, walks beautifully on the leash and is working with our trainer on basic obedience training. Hudson is great with dogs of all sizes, kids & cats. He is still a big baby and just wants to play and be loved on! Please consider giving this big sweetheart a better life than the one he has had! |
| FAMILY ILLNESS FORCED CHELSEA'S FAMILY TO HAVE TO GIVE HER AWAY, BUT WE PROMISED TO FIND A WONDERFUL HOME FOR HER! Chelsea is a small (about 40 lbs) 2 year old mix breed that was rescued by her previous owners from a high kill shelter in Michigan when she was 6 months old. The family moved to NC for work, never intending to give her up, but Chelsea's dad was diagnosed with cancer and has started treatments. With her husband in the hospital and an 8 year old to take care of, giving Chelsea the attention & time she deserves has become to difficult for Chelsea's mom. The family is devastated to have to give Chelsea up, but feel it's best for her. They call every couple of days to see how she is doing in her foster home! Chelsea is a WONDERFUL dog, extremely loving, very obedient, and very laid back. She would make a wonderful companion for an older person or someone living in an apartment, especially since she doesn't bark! Chelsea is UTD on all shots (including rabies), spayed, house & crate trained, and is basic obedience trained. Chelsea gets along great with other dogs and children, but has never been around cats. However, she is so laid back I don't think it would be an issue! Please consider giving this sweetheart a wonderful, loving home!! |
