ANGIE
THE FIRST DOG EVER ADOPTED BY AN ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD!! Last summer, My 2 and a Rescue adopted out Angie's last litter on the condition that be spayed after the litter was weaned. Once we took all of her puppies and had her spayed, her "owner" had no more use for her and just turned her loose in the neighborhood. After months of watching Angie's health deteriorate due to neglect, the residents of the neighborhood finally got fed up enough and took her to a local vet, who in turn sent her to the animal shelter because she had no collar and the "owner" could not be contacted. At the animal shelter following the mandatory 72 hour hold, Angie was adopted by the entire neighborhood! They did not want to see such a sweet dog put down so they asked the Rescue to help find her a wonderful home. We agreed, and are trying to find a loving family who would like an equally loving, sweet dog to add to their family! Angie is the most laid back, total sweetheart I have ever had in my Rescue! She is EXTREMELY submissive to people and animals and is WONDERFUL with children! Her foster family has a 4 year old who is completely in love with her! Angie is spayed, UTD on shots and micro chipped. We believe she is around 2 to 3 years old. Please consider giving this neglected mom the break she needs and the wonderful home she deserves!!

NAP TIME ON THE STEPS!! THEIR FAVORITE SPOT AFTER A HARD DAY PLAYING!!
NALA (THE LARGER ONE!) WITH HER BROTHER!

THESE CUTIES ARE LOOKING FOR THEIR "FUREVER" HOME The litter was born on Feb 1st and have all been adopted except for "Nala". Actually, she was adopted, but the young woman was buying a house but for some reason it fell thru and she could not have dogs in the apartment complex she lives in, so after many tears from her previous owner, Nala was returned to us and is looking for a wonderful permenant home! Nala is crate & house trained and walks wonderfully on the leash! The litter of puppies were going to be sold by the "owner" of their mother, however, after she put an ad in the paper advertising "Pitt Bull Puppies for Sale" the only people that showed up were individuals that wanted to fight them or breed them and scared her so much that she called us and begged us to take them so she could tell people that they were gone! We obliged, provided that she spay the mother. Even though Nala and her siblings were advertised as purebred pitts, after a week I noticed 3 of the 6 didn't quite look like the other 3. So I called the owner of the puppies mother & she admitted she had gotten loose while in heat. For those of you who don't know, a female can get pregnant by more than one male! So the litter ended up being 3 purebred Pitt Puppies and 3 Pitt mixes! The vet (as well as the mother's owner) thinks that Nala and the 2 siblings that look like her are mixed with the neighbors boxer. Nala is a total sweetheart, completely socialized, and loves being with people and getting attention! Nala has been de-wormed, given her puppy shots, spayed & given their rabies shots. Nala will be a very loving, wonder addition to any family!

PIPER
THIS SWEETIE HAS HAD A HARD LIFE & LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN MAKE THE REST OF HER LIFE WONDERFUL!! Piper is a 5 year old short haired Jack Russell who was found starving to death in a ditch on the side of a road in Florida. A Good Samaritan took her in and kept her until they moved here and were unable to keep a dog in the apartment complex they moved to. When the couple that took her in, they noticed that when she tried to bark or ran around a lot, she would make this horrible sound. She sounds like she has a horrible case of kennel cough. In actually, whoever had this dog before they dumped her like trash in a ditch shoved a pipe down her throat to damage her vocal cords so she couldn't bark! When we take her out in public, she has actually scared some people when she makes that noise, which makes her extremely hard to adopt. She is a wonderful dog, UTD on all shots, spayed, House & Crate Trained, pulls a little on the leash, but she can't wear a collar due to the throat injury so she wears a harness. Please consider giving this sweet girl the home she deserves instead of the horrible life she has had!

HOW CAN YOU RESIST THIS FACE!!

THIS ABANDONED BABY WAS THROWN OUT LIKE TRASH!! Toby is an 10-12 week old (best vet guess) puppy that was found abandoned in the yard of a home in the Fayetteville area. He was very malnourished, filthy, and full of worms. Since coming into rescue, Toby has been de-wormed, had his first set of shots, and will be neutered soon. Although we don't know what breed or mix he is, our best guess is possibly an Akita mix or a Jack Russell mix, but we are not sure. The vet does think he is going to be between 40-50 lbs max fully grown. Since he is still a puppy he isn't completely house trained yet (we are working on it, & he is doing very well!), but he is already crate trained and has a wonderful personality! He will follow you all over the house or yard, loves to play with kids and the other dogs in his foster home and loves to snuggle! Please consider adding this precious baby to your family!!
